Maurizio Carnelli is an Italian musician. At Milan Conservatory he studied piano, harpsichord, orchestra conducting, and he graduated in philosophy. 
​
Among many international appearences, Maurizio has performed at Teatro alla Scala (Milan), Konzerthaus (Lucerne), Teatro Regio (Torino), Sala Nervi (Vatican City), House of Parliament (Budapest), Ishibashi Memorial Hall (Tokyo), Teatro Carlo Felice (Genova), and Seongnam Art Center (Seoul). ​

He has participated to several international festivals (Rossini Opera Festival - Pesaro, Donizetti Opera Festival - Bergamo, Festival Umberto Giordano - Baveno, Tokyo Spring Festival) and has collaborated with artists such as Giuseppe Di Stefano, Alfredo Kraus, Nicola Martinucci, Lucia Valentini Terrani, Luciana Serra, Sumi Jo, Janet Perry, Bruno de Simone, Alberto Zedda, Romano Gandolfi, Giorgio Gaslini, Enrico Intra, Giorgio Albertazzi, and Fanny Ardent.

Maurizio has recorded 10 CDs with global record labels (Ars Nova, Frequenz, Kicco, Hal Leonard) and has curated numerous publications edited by Ricordi-Hal Leonard.
 
For many years he has participated in various television broadcastings powered by RAI channels, conceived and conducted over 250 broadcasts for the RAI radio networks, and was one of the founders of the Web Radio of the Fondazioni di Milano. In 2011 he founded Acitko Association, which represented South Korea at the 2015 Milan EXPO, and, since its foundation, he has been organizing the “Maria Malibran” International Opera Competition. 
 
After teaching many years at the Claudio Abbado music school in Milan as a professor and coordinator, he has recently concluded his teaching career at the Korean National University of Arts in Seoul.
